My patient said, “I had no idea that you did all of this!” She was talking about the Annual 2014 Open House, which was a huge success, yet again.
Guests were received by a valet service and were greeted as they walked into the building on a red carpet surrounded by red velvet stanchions. Once they walked into the office, they were directed towards the open bar and onto our beautiful Belladermis store where Brandon Mitchell, spa manager, and SkinMedica representative Dee Brothers explained the evening’s skincare specials. Featured items included the GRASS regimen, the ever-popular SkinMedica TNS Essential Serum and the All About You Eye product bag.
Down the hallway, the spa rooms featured the newest addition to the practice, the “more-than-makeup” Colorescience product room and our VIP area which includes our microdermabrasion members and our TNS Autoship members. These VIPs have access to price-reduced microdermabrasion and the TNS Serum, but also to specials and discounts year-round. For those who signed up for one of these two programs, they received complimentary Park Cities peels or a trio of chemical peels. Also, featured was Galderma with Restylane, Dr. Turner’s favorite product for filling tear troughs.
Dr. Turner and Terra Sharp were conveniently located in the consult room for mini-consults throughout the evening. Allergen took two separate rooms to feature their rewards program, Brilliant Distinctions, as well as the newest voluminous for mid-face, Voluma, and also Juvederm and Botox Cosmetic. Karen Sticka, Physician Assistant, and Mellisia Webb answered questions and assisted patients in purchasing products appropriate for their unique needs.
Ultherapy and Coolsculpt were definitely the biggest hits of the evening, with Leigh Rydell, and Jeanine Rogers and Caroline Gault representing these amazing non-invasive treatments. Coolsculpt offered body sculpting and fat reduction. Ultherapy offered skin tightening and lifting on both face, neck, and more recently the newly FDA approved décolletage.
The fashion show began at 6:30 and featured four models who exhibited the latest fashions straight from NYC fashion week thanks to Chelsie Birks. Combining fashion tips such as the top knot for an easy on-the-go hairstyle with information on Botox for crows feet around the eyes taught patients the importance of treating areas which are more accentuated with their choice of hairstyle. The pencil skirt is apparently a hot item this fall, but will look a lot more attractive with Coolsculpting of the inner and outer thighs with no recovery time and minimal discomfort.
Catering from Kent Rathbun was delicious and over two hundred guests came and went throughout the evening. Excitement was in the air, but the focus was always on the most important part of the event–the patients, our guests. None of this is possible without our wonderful, caring, and loyal patients who make it a joy to come to work each and every day (not just Open House!) at the Dermatology Office of Ellen Turner, MD.
